Alright bitchy brides, listen up and take note! We learn from every bride and groom, so we’ve gotta light the fire! Guitarist Dave Haywood and music exec Kelli Cashiola tied the knot, but were their accents fab and chic or drab and weak? Sorry Kelly and Dave, we’re using you two as an example for all the future newlyweds out there.

Dear Country Couple,

I adore your beautiful backless lace wedding gown, Miss Kelli, 5 gold stars girl, but a few things about your wedding are necessary to be noted. That oh so drab hair floral disaster that rests on your auburn locks distracts from your flawless face. Fresh floral is crucial. Mister Dave Haywood, sad to say the same, but in regards to your boutonniere, may it rest in peace. Floral décor can’t dress up your jacket when it’s dead my dear! Those flowers look parched! Rule of thumb, ordering two bout’s is essential, one for the ceremony, and one for the pics, to ensure your delicate flower’s are always looking their best, and not a mess! You want those small touches to be sweet little accents, not accidents. On another note groom, maybe groom yourself a bit better next time? Comb those curls, it’s your wedding day! Brush those bangs on your honeymoon, so you can go from blah to bangin’. In addition, when you’re having an outdoor wedding, with wild wind and other elements that can impact your Kodak moments, be careful! It’s important to make time in your timeline to refresh before your ceremony, to give that wind blown hair a little love and care. Wedding don’ts on your day of I do’s, trust my advice, I’m here to help. If you ever renew your vows, you now know what to do to ensure that you go from newly dreads to knockouts!

Once Upon a Napkin Nightmare…

This is a true story based on true events.

It was a craft-filled night, and Alissa slaved over her kitchen table covered in an explosion of fabric, as her fingers throbbed while hand-stitching each napkin for her wedding reception. Becoming her own personal seamstress came to feel more like she was selling her soul to the napkin she-devil.

Well bitchy bride readers, by telling Alissa’s story, we want to save you from the agony of napkin and DIY overdose insanity. We know you don’t want to regret biting off more than you can chew, or sew, so take our advice before you take on too many DIY’s that will leave your doll face looking distressed!

Alissa came to realize that taking on this project soon became sew not worth it. “I will laugh at this when I am celebrating my 50^th anniversary with too much arthritis to sew”, she thought to herself.

When preparing for your day of “I do’s”, the last thing you want is to become overwhelmed by taking on too many personal projects. 1 to 2 sweet touches in the DIY department will allow you to add a personal accent to your wedding, and avoiding the urge to do everything will leave you happy and craft-frenzy-free.

Alissa’s husband then walked through the front door, and was greeted by a glue gun, glue sticks, hole puncher, scissors, and paintbrushes galore. Oh, and did I mention an electric drill? Handmade signs adorned and decorated their furniture, as one even took residence on her treadmill. “It looks like a craft show in here” he exclaimed. Poor Alissa welled up in tears, as she “threw in the napkin” for the night, turned off the lights in her “Indio sweat shop” and went to bed.

Listen up ladies, let us all learn the moral of Alissa’s mayhem-filled story: although DIY weddings can save a few bucks in your bank account, they’re often not worth the price of stress. Sometimes it’s better to get a bit of assistance for your big day! This way, you can have those few, fun accents to your wedding that you adore, but you won’t all of a sudden feel like you’re replacing your hubby-to-be with a certain man named Michael of the craft store variety. Take our advice, to spare yourself from growing gray hairs prior to walking down the aisle, so that you can plan your wedding happily ever after.
